AD – New Perspectives by JVW
The architect follows her intuition and her courage to try. This already began in primary school. Instead of perfectly drawn horses, colourful blobs of paint landed on the fourth-grader’s page. „My art teacher taught me that you can interpret every task differently, there is no right or wrong, you just have to dare.“
This change of perspective, her love of colour and a playful approach still inform the architect’s work today; be it a bright red hallway in an Alpine chalet or green tiles from Marrakech in her London townhouse. She prefers to test new ideas with her daughter’s modelling paste. Instead of playing it safe, Julia von Werz prefers to jump over her own shadow. She draws inspiration from her travels and the eclectic style of her adopted home of London, among other things. Cheerful it should be, right down to the last detail!
